The Judicial Council of California rule page lists Rule 10.430, effective September 1, 2025. Courts that permit generative AI for staff or non-adjudicative judicial-officer tasks must adopt policies covering confidentiality, discrimination, verification, correction, and disclosure.

Any court that does not prohibit the use of generative AI by court staff or judicial officers must adopt a generative AI use policy
