What the document requires

  • 'AI systems shall not be entrusted with decision-making responsibilities'; Judges and Advocates General remain in full control of judicial procedures.
  • Content generated by AI without verification must be labelled as such if shared beyond the user who requested it.
  • Users must take a critical approach to machine-generated output, check accuracy and completeness in each case, and report errors.
  • All AI use must comply with the institution's confidentiality protocols, internal security rules and data-protection standards.
  • Training, validation and testing datasets must be relevant, representative and, so far as possible, free of error and bias.
