What the public documentation states

Ironclad’s product pages describe Ironclad AI and Jurist for contract review, drafting and research in native .docx inside its CLM product for in-house legal teams. The AI responsibility page names OpenAI and other third-party AI providers for Jurist processing. The security page says production data is hosted on Google Cloud in the United States; the audit note records EU data-centre options on the subprocessor page. The legal terms say customer administrators can opt in or out of AI training in application settings; if a customer opts in, Ironclad's use of Customer Data is subject to the AI Addendum. The AI Addendum requires data protection agreements with AI subprocessors, zero data retention where available, and no AI-subprocessor training on Customer Data. The security page states SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, annual penetration testing and quarterly vulnerability testing. It attributes ISO 27001/17/18 to public cloud vendors, not directly to Ironclad. Pricing pages did not publish prices or terms. The legal page warns AI product information may be incorrect or inaccurate, with no method published.

Not disclosed on public pages

"Not disclosed" records that no public statement was found where we looked, on the date shown. It does not assert that the control, term or figure is absent.

On pages read on 2026-09-22, Ironclad did not publish a free trial, list price, minimum term, seat minimum, accuracy method, ISO 42001 statement or private-deployment option. The ISO 27001 statement remains for public cloud vendors, not a direct Ironclad certificate in the fetched text. Procurement and DPIA records normally need these points for spend approval, processor due diligence, client confidentiality, outsourcing review and GDPR Article 28 terms.

Questions to put to the vendor

  1. Which Anthropic, Google Cloud Platform, OpenAI and Extend services process contract data for Jurist and Ironclad AI?
  2. Where zero data retention is not available, what retention period applies to AI subprocessors?
  3. Is there an Ironclad-held ISO 27001 certificate, or only certifications held by public cloud vendors?
  4. Which EU data-centre options apply to AI features, and do they cover prompts, outputs and contract attachments?
  5. What evaluation method is used to monitor inaccurate AI Product outputs?

Accuracy evidence

No published accuracy or hallucination evaluation found as of 2026-09-22.
