What the public documentation states
Steno's Transcript Genius page describes an AI transcript tool for searching testimony, comparing depositions, finding inconsistencies and producing summaries. The May 13, 2025 terms state that Transcript Genius is built primarily on Anthropic's Claude technology and that data shared with Anthropic through Steno is not used as broader training data. The Transcript Genius page says transcripts and conversations are never used to train the AI and that AI partners do not retain data after a session. The DPA effective March 3, 2025 says Steno maintains a subprocessor list available on request, gives audit rights, and notifies customers promptly after confirming a Security Breach. The same product page states SOC2 Type II and HIPAA compliance standards. It also says Transcript Genius is included in Steno's product suite at no additional charge. Accuracy material is limited to a vendor claim of "with unparalleled accuracy," cited answers, and the terms warning that AI may make mistakes.
