What the document requires
- Applies to the Supreme Court, all High Courts, and all courts, tribunals and adjudicatory commissions.
- Prohibits AI from deciding cases, bail, witness credibility or influencing judicial deliberation.
- Lawyers must disclose the use of AI in pleadings.
- Permits AI for research, drafting assistance, transcription, translation, citation verification and case management.
- Creates institutional AI Committees, secretariats and a central CoRE-AI body.
