Binding guidelines for all Colombian judges and judicial employees. Article 8 bars free commercial chatbots, use of AI to assess evidence, weigh facts or decide, and entry of personal or confidential data into tools that retain inputs; article 9 requires verification of every output; article 10 requires express disclosure in the file of tool, model, date, purpose and prompts.

What the document requires

  • Art. 8(3)-(4): no AI for evidence assessment, fact-finding, value judgments or motivating decisions solely on AI output.
  • Art. 8(6): no personal, sensitive or confidential data in tools that retain or retrain on inputs.
  • Art. 9: verify the veracity, relevance and sufficiency of results and cited sources.
  • Art. 10: disclose in the decision the tool, model, provider, date, purpose, prompts and the passages reproduced.
  • Art. 13: Judicial School training plan; art. 14: report AI initiatives and malfunctions to the Digital Transformation Unit.
