Poland's AI systems act implements the EU AI Act from August 2026. It creates the Komisja Rozwoju i Bezpieczeństwa Sztucznej Inteligencji as the market-supervision body and single point of contact, names the minister for informatisation as notifying authority, sets cooperation and complaints functions, and phases in key institutional chapters from October 2026.

What the document requires

  • Art. 5(1) establishes the Komisja Rozwoju i Bezpieczeństwa Sztucznej Inteligencji as the AI supervision body.
  • Art. 5(2) makes the Commission the single point of contact under Article 70(2) of the EU AI Act.
  • Art. 8 authorises the Commission to issue individual opinions and explanations within its remit.
  • Art. 18 allows the Commission to present a view to a court in AI matters within its scope.
  • Art. 86(1) designates the minister responsible for informatisation as notifying authority.
  • Art. 127 brings the Act into force 14 days after publication, with listed exceptions including art. 125(4) from 28 July 2026 and institutional chapters from 28 October 2026.
