What the public documentation states

Trellis AI's product page describes a legal AI platform for attorneys and legal professionals of all practice areas and firm sizes. It states that Trellis AI uses multiple large language models, including OpenAI and Anthropic, together with Trellis case data and documents. The same page says uploaded files are encrypted at rest and that Trellis follows SOC 2 standards; no SOC 2 certification is stated in the audit. The privacy policy and terms were dated May 2026 in the audit, but current fetches for those URLs returned 403. The terms audit row records a free-trial reference. No list price, seat floor or minimum term is printed on the product page. For accuracy, the product page says attorneys tested multiple models and thousands of documents, and it also says output should always be reviewed.

Not disclosed on public pages

"Not disclosed" records that no public statement was found where we looked, on the date shown. It does not assert that the control, term or figure is absent.

Not published on the pages we read on 2026-09-06: DPA terms, a public subprocessor list, training-on-customer-data terms, data residency, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, private deployment, SSO, zero retention, list price, seat floor and minimum term. Litigation files may contain privileged evidence and strategy, so procurement and DPIA review normally asks for processor terms, model data-use terms, transfer locations and the controls behind human review.

Questions to put to the vendor

  1. Which OpenAI and Anthropic services process uploaded documents, and under which data-use terms?
  2. Do Trellis AI uploads train any Trellis, OpenAI or Anthropic models?
  3. Can Trellis provide a DPA and a subprocessor list for customer matter data?
  4. Which SOC 2 report, if any, supports the page's statement that Trellis follows SOC 2 standards?
  5. What price, seat floor and minimum term apply after the free trial?

Accuracy evidence

No published accuracy or hallucination evaluation found as of 2026-09-03.
