A resolution of the Polish Bar Council adopted at its 12–13 June 2026 plenary in Rzeszów amending the advocates' ethics code. It adds § 23e regulating the use of technological tools, including AI, and amends § 19(6). The rules bind Polish advocates and are enforceable through the disciplinary system.

What the document requires
- An advocate may use technological tools, including AI, only in an auxiliary capacity.
- Technology may not process information covered by professional secrecy unless the tool's mechanisms guarantee proper protection of that data.
- The advocate must personally assess and verify the results produced by the tool so as not to harm the client.
- Use of technological tools does not release the advocate from personal responsibility for the form and content of professional activities.
- Clients need not generally be told which tools are used, but may request disclosure of the technologies used and their purpose.
- The advocate must have the competence to assess the tool's limitations and associated risks.
